Ms. Nandi Mandela holds a B. Soc Science degree from the University of Cape Town as well as an AIM certificate from the Graduate School of Business of the same university. She is a director of Linda Masinga & Associates and is also a founding member and director of New Ground Investments (Pty) Ltd (property development) and Natholigugu Investments (Pty) Ltd (Investment Company). New Ground Investments (Pty) Ltd pioneered the development of the R450 million Greater Edendale Mall in Pietermaritzburg, which is the second largest shopping centre in that city. Ms. Mandela worked for BP both in South Africa and New York before becoming a director at Linda Masinga & Associates. While in BP Southern Africa, she was responsible for managing the company’s Corporate Investment Programmes in KwaZulu Natal and Eastern Cape provinces. Ms. Mandela also developed an HIV/AIDS policy for all of BP’s operations in Southern Africa, which includes thirteen SADC countries. The policy was developed through consultation with one of South Africa’s leading insurance companies as well as BP’s Regional HR Managers and CSI Managers in each of the thirteen SADC countries.

Before joining Linda Masinga & Associates, Ms. Mandela became the Regional Retail Manager for BP in the KwaZulu Natal province. She was responsible for the financial performance, brand management as well as Health, Environment & Safety practices of more than 100 Petrol Filling Stations in the province. Ms. Mandela’s varied experience at different strata of society ranges from Multilateral Organisations (e.g. United Nations), captains of Industry (e.g. various Business Chambers), Taxi and Bus Associations as well as Informal Traders. This experience has helped her to drive a developmental agenda that meets varied stakeholders needs and to harness these needs towards a common goal.
