DENVER SEETAL - PROJECTS DIRECTOR / (National Diploma in Civil Engineering)

Denver Seetal is a Civil Engineer by profession. He holds various certificates from the Construction Industry Federation of Ireland including Managing Safety in Construction, Scaffolding Management, First Aid, Municipal Building Regulations, Hollow Core Walls & Slabs, Fibre Mesh Concrete Construction and Construction of ECO Buildings. He first gained experience in a design office with Drennan, Maud and Partners. He then moved on to Afrocon where he worked on the Waterloo site as a Civil Technician managing earthworks, road and culvert construction as well as storm water and sewer line installation. After gaining this valuable experience he was offered a job with Goldstein/ LTA in a Joint Venture Project working on Midmar Waterworks as the assistant engineer in charge of the construction of reinforced concrete works and quality control.

Denver then got a job with First National Bank as a property assessor and building inspector working on residential and commercial developments for 5 years, before moving on to Lukan Construction where he worked as a Site Manager. This project involved the development of roads, culverts, bridges & services to disadvantaged communities in South Africa. The project included major infrastructure works for residential and commercial development.

In 2001 he was offered a job in Ireland as the Senior Engineer on a residential development where he then progressed to project co-ordinator / manager. The size and value of the projects Denver managed while in Ireland were in excess of R1 Billion Rand. These projects started off from green field sites to fully developed town centres in the Dublin region. In February 2009, Denver moved back to South Africa and is currently employed by Linda Masinga and Associates as a Projects Director.

Denver is currently involved in sewer rehabilitation projects for ILembe District Municipality. He is also spearheading the planning of the proposed uMsunduzi Waterfront Project in Pietermaritzburg.
